“Our plan is not that different from what it was in the past,” Dupuis said. “We will be using mobile clinics as well as our clinics here at our health unit facilities (1005 Ouellette Ave. in Windsor and 33 Princess St. in Leamington).” Primary health care providers and pharmacies will also be sources for the public to receive the bivalent vaccine. Dr. Shanker Nesathurai, the district’s Deputy Chief Medical Officer of Health, said about 252,000 people in Windsor-Essex are not up to date on their COVID-19 vaccinations — and will thus become eligible for the bivalent vaccine.
