About 20 minutes later, a vehicle on fire in the 8200-block of Burnlake Drive was reported to police. Photo by NICK PROCAYLO /PNG The victim has been identified by investigators but is not being named to allow police to notify family. “We are working closely with our partners to determine if this incident has any connection to the Lower Mainland gang conflict,” said IHIT Sgt. Timothy Pierotti in a statement. Homicide investigators are seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage. Anyone with video in the area of Hastings and Beta Avenue between 10 a.m. and 11:20 p.m. is asked to contact IHIT investigators. Also, anyone who was in the area of Burnlake and Government Street between 11 and 11:45 p.m. and has dashcam video, is encouraged to call the police.
