Some bin collection days are to change in some parts of Suffolk due to the Queen’s funeral. Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral will take place on Monday 19 September. King Charles III declared that the day of the funeral would be a public holiday. Some councils across the province have announced that bins will be collected on a different day next week. Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Council Councils have announced that bin collections will be a day later than usual. West Suffolk Council West Suffolk Council has also announced that bins will be collected a day later than usual. East Suffolk Council A council spokeswoman said council services would not operate on Monday, including bin collections. The spokeswoman added that a catch-up service would be arranged and more details would be given in due course. Ipswich City Council Bin collections do not take place in Ipswich on Monday so there will be no changes.
