On Wednesday, the Duchess of Sussex joined her husband Prince Harry and other members of the royal family in the Queen’s procession to Westminster Hall. During the event, Meghan was seen standing with the family as the Queen’s coffin arrived. In a video shared on Twitter showing the Duchess in the background, viewers can see her walk past the coffin and pay her respects by going to a steeple and bowing her head. In photos from the service, Meghan was also seen mid-race, while her husband stood beside her with his head down. On Twitter, many fans praised the king’s snap, expressing how “cute” and “respectful” the move was. “Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex pulls off a flawless cut,” wrote one. “Meghan’s blunt style was the most profound so, royal rhetoric aside, has the most admiration and respect for her,” wrote another. A third person added: “Meghan is the epitome of grace and elegance.” Other Twitter users continued to remark on her Harry and how proud he looked of his wife, with one writing: ‘Can’t deny [that] he was awesome, deep and respectful. Nice touch wearing earrings from the Queen. Harry looked like he was going to cry at any moment too.” (Getty Images) Meghan’s gesture was also similar to how Princess Anne paid respect to her mother in Scotland. When the coffin arrived in Edinburgh on Sunday, Princess Royal also bent her knees and fell in front of it. During the procession on Wednesday, Meghan used her jewels to pay tribute to the monarch. She wore a pair of pearl and diamond earrings given to her by the Queen, having first worn the earrings in 2011 when she visited the Storyhouse and Town Hall in Chester with her grandmother. Meghan also turned heads when she arrived at the service in a separate car from Kate Middleton, who went to the event with Camilla, the Queen Consort. The 41-year-old duchess rode alongside Sophie, Countess of Wessex. The royal family and her husband are expected to remain in the UK until after the Queen’s funeral on September 19, which will be a bank holiday. Since stepping down from their royal duties in 2020, Meghan and Harry have lived in their home in California while raising their three-year-old son Archie and one-year-old daughter Libette.
