PHILADELPHIA – Philadelphia voters are divided on whether they are concerned about Lt. Gov. John Letterman’s health if elected to the Senate and whether that will affect their midterm vote, with some citing President Biden’s health as reassurance. “He may not be mentally healthy, but he looks healthy,” said Devon, of Philadelphia. “Look at Joe Biden. He’s a bigger guy,” he continued. “You know he has his health problems and is still able to run the country.” Pennsylvania Lt. MEDIA PUT MORE FOCUS ON FETTERMAN’S HEALTH AS PENNSYLVANIA ELECTIONS HEAT UP “You can’t run by telling people you’re fine if you’re not,” Kevin said. “If something comes up, he should provide some kind of documentation that he has a clean bill.” Fetterman, who served as Pennsylvania’s 34th lieutenant governor, suffered a stroke in May and underwent surgery on May 17 — the day Pennsylvania voters chose him as the Democratic nominee for Senate. Fetterman returned to the campaign in August and recently agreed to discuss his opponent, Republican Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz, scheduled for October 25. “I have no problem with his health, because I still think he can do his job,” said Betty, from Philadelphia. He said speech problems are to be expected after a stroke and reported that Biden stutters in his speeches. Dr. OZ DOUBLES IN PENNSYLVANIA SENATE RACE, SAYS FETERMAN AFRAID TO DISCUSS OR LIE ABOUT HEALTH Betty, of Philadelphia, says John Fetterman has her vote in the November midterm elections, despite health concerns. (Megan Myers/Fox News Digital) Loreal, who lives in Philadelphia, said she is less concerned about Fetterman’s health than Biden and older leaders. Joe Biden became the oldest president he was never elected to office when he won in 2020 and will turn 80 in November. Some congressional leaders within the legislative branch are even older, including Sen. Dianne Feinstein at 88, who was reported to be showing signs of memory loss. “We had seniors who had other serious health concerns that were definitely concerning, but they’re doing fine,” Loreal said. In the 2020 presidential election, Philadelphia, a heavily left-leaning city, was instrumental in Joe Biden winning Pennsylvania. However, Fetterman statewide only leads Oz, 52 percent to 47 percent, in the Pennsylvania Senate race, according to the latest CBS News poll. 2022 MID-TERM ELECTIONS AS DEMOCRATIC AND DEMOCRATICS FIGHT THROUGH NOVEMBER Pennsylvania Democratic Senate candidate John Fetterman and Pennsylvania GOP Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz, will debate live on October 25, 2022 ahead of the mid-term elections.
