The crash happened Wednesday when a semi truck collided with a pickup truck near Mustang Road on I-40, not far from Oklahoma City, News9 reported. The broadcaster sent a helicopter into the air to retrieve the damaged cargo, which Oklahoma independent news site The Lost Ogle said was not far from “a major adult product distribution hub.” While it wasn’t clear from the video what the cans were, the site said “this sure looks like a bunch of shaker cans and oil tubes scattered on the freeway.” Zoomed-in images appeared to show the outline of a vibrator or “fake phallus” on the side of the boxes, Australia’s Daily Telegraph suggested as news of the Oklahoma spill made global headlines. News9 helicopter pilot and anchor Jim Gardner, meanwhile, appeared to hint at the contents of the leak in an awkward interview with co-anchor Lacey Lowery, who asked, “What’s he carrying in there? What’s on the road?’ A zoomed-in image of the highway spill (News 9) Responding after a long silence, Mr. Gardner replied “well, not really, maybe you can figure it out. I can not say. The good thing is that the driver was not injured, but there are a lot of things on the road.” He continued, “Whatever it is, it’s going to take some time to clean up.” The highway was reportedly closed for several hours as crews from the Oklahoma City Highway Patrol worked to clean up the spill, News9 reported. Meanwhile, on Twitter, a video of the crash’s aftermath has been viewed more than 3.9 million times, while tens of thousands of comments and jokes relate to the semi’s adult content. The Independent has approached the Mustang Police Department for comment.
