Ralf Hasenhütl’s side remain without a clean sheet after six games, with both of their league wins coming from behinds. They face a Villa side who have also failed to keep a clean sheet in six games this season. Villa and Southampton have conceded 10 goals each in the league this season, so don’t expect Friday night’s clash to be short on goals. Villa have also scored in each of their last five league games – including against Arsenal and Manchester City – and should cause problems for Southampton’s defence. Joe Aribo has been one of Southampton’s many summer signings to make a positive impact since arriving at St. Mary’s in the summer. The former Rangers midfielder has already scored once for the Saints, netting a goal in a 2-2 draw with Leeds in the second game of the season. Aribo, who averages a shot per game for Southampton this year, scored nine goals from midfield for Rangers last season and will cause a tough Villa defense plenty of problems on Friday. Joe Aribo is a good bet to score anytime. Emiliano Buendia has only registered one assist for Villa this season, but he has undoubtedly been one of their most creative players. The former Norwich man creates an average of 0.86 chances per game – the second best record of any Villa player behind Jacob Ramsey – and averages 0.8 key passes per game. Despite a relatively underwhelming first season at Villa Park last year, Buendia scored the most assists at the club alongside Danny Ings, with the two players netting six goals.
