In a press release issued today, the Sault Ste. Marie OPP say they, along with the Batchewana First Nation Police Service, responded to a call around 2:30 p.m. yesterday for a break and entered a property on Horse Lake Road in Echo Bay. Upon arrival, police reviewed the video and had descriptions of the suspect. Police say after leaving the scene, they encountered the suspect driving an ATV on Lonely Lake Road. At about 4pm, the police arrested the driver. As a result, 33-year-old Bradley Charette was charged with:

Break, Enter Dwelling-Commit an Offence, contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC) Theft under $5000, in violation of CC § 334(b). Failure to comply with the undertaking, contrary to article 145 paragraph 4 letter a) of the C.C.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste Marie on November 7, 2022.
