Police remain stationed on a road off Highway 97 between Penticton and Trout Creek next to a crime scene UPDATE: 4:42 p.m Police remain tight-lipped on why the road from Highway 97 between Penticton and Trout Creek remains closed and the nature of the crime that took place there. An RCMP officer remains stationed at the turnpike Friday afternoon, with crime scene tape blocking access to the road. The only information the officers at the scene were able to provide is that there is an active crime scene. A strong police presence was detected in the area already on Thursday morning, along with firefighters. Multiple requests for comment from the RCMP have so far gone unanswered.
