He then drove to Dundalk, where the blue Nissan drove onto a pavement opposite Dundalk Primary School.
The suspects landed in Chip Fox’s backyard minutes after he brought his elderly father inside.
“I put the groceries in the kitchen and it was like boom! It sounded like a car hit. We came out and all the cops were following,” Fox told WJZ. “…The way they drove, it was like a video game.” Chopper 13 was above the dramatic police chase in Dundalk as the blue Nissan mounted the pavement. At one point, Baltimore County Police said an officer with their department crashed and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
On the Beltway, footage from Chopper 13 shows, the suspects crash into a vehicle and blow out its front tire.
They then exit onto I-83 North and one of the suspects throws a bag out the window before police catch up.
The three stopped in the middle of the interstate, opened their doors and crossed lanes of traffic.
The officers eventually took them all into custody.
“At that speed, I’m glad the cops caught them. It’s no surprise anymore though,” Kay Doubleday said. Fox said police were searching his neighborhood for possible weapons that were thrown from the vehicle.
As he surveyed the damage outside his home in Dundalk, he praised police for bringing the situation under control.
“It’s crazy. I’m just glad nobody got hurt with all the kids at school. If it was a couple of hours later, it would have been bad news,” he said.
