The man was reportedly taken to the floor by Metropolitan Police officers and arrested. The Met told ITV: “At 10pm on Friday 16 September, officers from the Met’s Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Directorate arrested a man in Westminster Hall following a disturbance. He was arrested for an offense under the Public Order Act and is currently in custody.” Viewers of the BBC live stream reported that the stream went down for 10 minutes. It is understood that the queue of mourners was interrupted for about 15 minutes but has now resumed. The Metropolitan Police have been contacted for comment. Thousands of people have queued – some for more than 24 hours – to pay their respects to the late queen, whose coffin lies in state until her state funeral on Monday. On Friday, the King, Princess Royal, Duke of York and the Earl of Wessex joined members of the public in the hall as they held a vigil by their mother’s side.
