The new King Charles was given a “just in case” pen by well-wishers on his walk through Cardiff yesterday after his latest ink disasters.
It follows after the King was left furious by a series of ink mishaps during his visit to Northern Ireland earlier this week.
His frustration became clear to the public after clips of the monarch appearing visibly upset by the pen ordeal began to circulate online.
A video clip of the delivery shows a woman in the crowd handing the pen to the King while smiling cheekily at him.

The surrounding crowd then began to applaud and laugh at the gift.
Then King Charles takes the pen gracefully, looks at it in his hand, and begins to laugh, clearly amused by the gesture.
The Monarch and Queen Consort arrived in Wales yesterday on their first visit since the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
The royal couple went to Llandaff Cathedral to attend a service of prayer and reflection for their late mother and Britain’s longest-serving head of state.
However, the King came prepared with his own pen and was filmed calmly signing the paper in the cathedral before handing his pen and the book to his wife.
The King’s decision to carry his own pen comes just days after a few drops of ink spoiled the mood at Hillsborough Castle in Belfast earlier this week.
King Charles III signs the visitor’s book at Lladaff Cathedral days after being left furious by a series of ink mishaps. He was accompanied by his wife Camilla, the Queen Consort
The King popped his own pen into his pocket before walking back down the hall. They were greeted with cheers and celebrations as part of their UK-wide Four Nations tour
His Majesty appeared flustered by dripping ink as he attempted to sign a book towards the end of his visit.
Charles complained about the pen he was using to sign his name, announcing that he “can’t stand the bloody thing” as he appeared to furiously rub the ink off his fingers.
The Queen Consort later suggested she had a leak and called for a replacement, as the King hurriedly turned on his heel and left the room flanked by aides.
The faulty instrument was quickly removed and replaced by agitated courtiers before Camilla sat down to sign the book herself inside the historic residence.

Venting his frustration as the pen begins to malfunction, the new King exclaims, “God I hate this [pen]as he delivers it to the queen consort.
He adds: “I can’t stand this stuff…everything stinks.”
The incident also came days after another pen mishap, when viewers of Charles’ historic ascension to the throne were distracted when he angrily gestured for one of his aides to remove an inkwell.
As he went to sign the historic Declaration, the King frantically motioned to an aide to move a box of pens from his desk, which onlookers described as “too small” for the massive document and stationery.
Despite the gravity of the moment, viewers couldn’t help but find the King’s apparent difficulty with the pen amusing.
Charles asked a nearby assistant to remove the box from the table to sign the second part of the long document.
The fountain pen he used to sign the important document was a gift from his sons Princes Harry and William.
Some viewers joked that the new king “stole” the pen after he was spotted putting it in his pocket before taking it out again.
