Mohamed Osman, 18, was charged with second-degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault and one count of violating his parole, police said in a statement Saturday afternoon.

He was arrested by the police during the night. First responders were called to the East End Mall at about 4:35 p.m. on Friday after witnesses reported multiple stabbings. In all, three men were injured. One of the victims, Marcus Maloney, 19, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other two victims suffered stab wounds, but the injuries were not considered life-threatening. The injured victims were not identified.
