Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints
Time: Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox), stream on fuboTV (try free) Open: Buccaneers -4, O/U 46.5
Featured Game | New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
“I have no idea why Tom Brady took 11 days off in the middle of training camp this year, but to me, the most likely theory is that he did it so he could study the Saints defense for 264 straight hours without interruption. There’s one team that Brady hasn’t been able to figure out since signing with Tampa Bay, and it’s definitely the Saints.
“Brady has played the Saints four times in the regular season over the last two years and not only was he 0-4 in those games, but the Buccaneers lost all four games by multiple scores. In their second meeting of the 2021 season, the Buccaneers lost, 9-0, which is mostly notable because it marks the only time in the last 15 years that Brady has been shut out.
“When Brady announced he was returning to the NFL after just 40 days out, I’m 99% sure the only reason he was coming back was to beat the Saints. The good news for Brady is that this might finally be the year he can to do it. If the Buccaneers want to win this game, their best bet may actually be to take it off Brady’s hands. One reason the Buccaneers struggle against the Saints is because Brady is always under pressure. I mean, The man is 45 years old; if he’s running for his life every game, that’s not good for the Bucs.
“If Tampa can run the ball, they might be able to win, and based on what happened in Week 1, they might. For one, the Saints gave up more than 200 yards on the ground in Week 1 and that was against the FALCONS (It was just the third time in the last five years that the Saints allowed a team to break the 200-yard mark on the ground.) In the Buccaneers’ end, they actually ran the ball pretty well. Week 1 with Leonard Fournette rushing for 127 yards.
“I think the Saints can win, but I hate betting against Brady, which means I have to go with the Buccaneers.”

Miami Dolphins at Baltimore Ravens
Time: Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS), streaming on Paramount+ (click here) Open: Ravens -3.5, O/U 46
Featured Game | Baltimore Ravens vs. Miami Dolphins
“The Dolphins and Ravens both won in impressive fashion last week, but now Miami hits the road for the first time. The Dolphins dominated the Ravens last year at home, but this will be different. The Ravens and Lamar Jackson take the better the Dolphins”.

New York Jets at Cleveland Browns
Time: Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS), stream on Paramount+ (click here) Open: Browns -4.5, O/U 43.5
Featured Game | Cleveland Browns vs. New York Jets
“The Browns can certainly beat bad teams with their defense and running game, and they had a chance to do that last week. But the defense collapsed in the fourth quarter and it took a 58-yard field goal by rookie Cade York. just to to get away with a win. With that happening, I’m surprised they’ve been placed as six-point favorites against anybody, and that line is even higher at some points. Will the market really give us a chance? He’s played 60% of the snaps in 37 games in his career and has won by more than six points just six times in those games and four of those wins have come against the same team (Houston). How can we trust him as a heavy favorite?”
RJ White has been SportsLine’s No. 1 NFL ATS expert over the past five years, going 445-378-24 against the spread to give him more than 25 points in these picks at SportsLine. He has also achieved a 56.8% success rate in his SuperContest selections over the past seven seasons and that streak includes two in-the-money finishes, including finishing 18th out of 2,748 entries in 2017.
He loves the Jets covering the number at this point. To read his reasoning and see his other SuperContest picks, head over to SportsLine.
Washington Commanders at Detroit Lions
Time: Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox), streaming on fuboTV (try free) Open: PICK, O/U 44.5
Featured Game | Detroit Lions vs Washington Governors
“It finally happened. For the first time in 24 games, the Lions are favored. But do they deserve it? Detroit lost to Philly in Week 1 by three points as a 14-0 fourth-quarter run allowed the Lions to cover the spread .D’Andre Swift looked incredible as he racked up 175 yards from scrimmage, but the defense struggled to contain Jalen Hurts and Co.
“This Washington offense looked rejuvenated in Week 1. The Jacksonville Jaguars don’t have an elite defense, but I mean, Carson Wentz has weapons to work with. Antonio Gibson had 130 yards from scrimmage, Terry McLaurin had a touchdown, Curtis Samuel caught a touchdown and then rookie Jahan Dotson caught two touchdowns in his NFL debut. The Lions tried to contain AJ Brown last week, who caught 10 passes for 155 yards. How will this unit handle multiple receivers wide-ranging that can affect Offense? I expect a lot of points in this matchup, but I like Washington to win.”
Jordan Dajani thinks the wrong team is favored in this match. For his other four games this week in the NFL, click here.
