Bowen Osoko, a police spokesman, says investigators are on the scene but don’t yet know what happened. “We are investigating what is best described as a suspicious circumstance,” he said in an emailed statement. “We’re investigating, but right now it’s too early to say what really happened, if anyone was hurt or if there’s anything criminal going on here.” A member of the CHEK News crew on scene reports seeing a trail of blood starting at an apartment building behind the police tape at 1194 Esquimalt Road and continuing in front of Esquimalt Plaza.
