In an update Saturday, police say a search of a home in Windermere turned up the red 2005-06 Honda CBR 600RR motorcycle.
“We would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance in distributing photos of the motorcycle and assisting us in our request for information,” said Sgt.  Travis Cruise, member of the EPS Major Collision Unit.
“We got a lot of helpful tips and were able to track it down as a result.”
According to police, the investigation into the collision is “ongoing”.
