A slew of footage claiming to be early, in-progress clips of Grand Theft Auto VI have been posted online overnight. About 90 videos were linked on the GTA forums by a poster named teapotuberhacker and the videos look very real. As the game is still so far along, it’s important to remember that the footage provides examples of something early in development. We won’t be hosting the content directly, but you can watch the YouTube video above and see a lot more here. By robbing a restaurant, the player gets a set amount of time before the cops arrive to steal money from the register and take hostages. Once the cops arrive, a female character and a male accomplice steal one of their cars and tell them to lose them to complete the objective. Of course, there’s still the possibility that this is all fake, but the internet has never witnessed such an absurdly large and detailed leak before. 90 videos of a game still being made is unprecedented, especially for such a big, upcoming title. We’re pretty sure this is the real deal. Here’s what appears to be a dialogue-heavy interaction between the characters: Subscribe to Push Square on YouTube Those collecting the footage say they have spotted references to GTA: Vice City, which confirms rumors from earlier this year that GTA 6 will take place in Miami. This leak also confirms suggestions that the game will have a female protagonist along with other playable characters in a story influenced by bank robbers Bonnie and Clyde.
