A Langley company wants to build three industrial layer buildings not far from Reid’s Corner and has asked the city of Kelowna for permission to do so. Astria Properties is seeking a development permit for the three buildings and a variance development permit for the setback on the west side of the property, which is located at 3256 Appaloosa Rd. The buildings will total 36,160 square feet and have an additional 15,375 square feet of mezzanine. Each building would be multi-user, housing up to six tenants each. The property is currently zoned as agricultural land, but the city’s official community plan calls for rezoning it to general industrial. The buildings will have loading bays and parking spaces, and Astria wrote in its application that the development would “expand the area’s access to strata spaces suitable for smaller tenants.”
