Jill Barclay, 47, of Dyce, has been identified by officers investigating the murder. A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged over Ms Barclay’s death. Ms Barclay’s body was found near an address on Stoneywood Road in Dyce at around 3.30am on Saturday, September 17. Police Scotland said their inquiries would continue “for some time” in the area to establish the circumstances of what happened. In a statement, Ms Barclay’s family asked for privacy. “Jill was a much loved life partner, mother and daughter,” they said. “We would now appreciate some quiet time to grieve in private.” Detective Constable Andrew Patrick of Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team has appealed for anyone with information about the incident to contact them. “Our thoughts are very much with Jill’s family and friends at a very difficult time for them,” he said. “We have a dedicated team of officers in the area working on this investigation and I would like to reassure the community that they can speak to them if they have any concerns. “I would appeal to anyone who reports anything suspicious in the area and has not already spoken to officers to get in touch. “Any information, however small, could help our investigation, so please contact us on 101 if you can help, quoting incident number 0518 of Saturday 17 September 2022. “Or call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
