The bystander is believed to have been “arrested by police officers”, as he claimed. He is said to have tried to jump the barriers on Parliament Street from the Cenotaph, according to the Sun. Thousands of mourners gathered to watch the Queen’s coffin make its final journey after queuing through the night to find the best spot. In dramatic scenes, the man was held back as the late monarch’s coffin emerged from Westminster Abbey, according to witnesses at the scene. Police said they are looking to find out more details about the arrest.
