Welcome to our free NFL betting picks and predictions for the Tennessee Titans vs. Buffalo Bills, the first of two Monday Night Football games tonight. The Bills proved they deserve to be atop the Super Bowl odds table by making a huge statement in the 2022 season opener last Thursday. Buffalo blasted the defending champion LA Rams on the road in Week 1 and now sets their sights on last year’s top seed in the AFC – the Titans – in Week 2. The Bills had a mini-bye to prepare for their home opener, which is one of the reasons this line goes up toward the visiting team. Tennessee’s Week 1 effort against the NY Giants doesn’t help matters for the visitors, as the Titans blew a 13-0 second-half advantage and lost 21-20 as a 5.5-point home chalk. Aside from analyzing the overall Over/Under, our best bet is a bracket that focuses on a quarterback who might struggle to get things going tonight.

Titans vs Bills picks and predictions

The last time these franchises met, the Titans won a 34-31 shootout at home last October. And even though Tennessee outlasted the mighty Bills in that game, quarterback Ryan Tannehill didn’t look good. Tannehill finished just 18-for-29 for 216 yards, no touchdowns and one interception (he ran for a TD). It was Tennessee’s rushing attack that anchored that win, with RB Derrick Henry rumbling for 143 yards and three scores – one of which was a 76-yard TD run. Looking at that rematch in 2022, not only is Tennessee on the road in Week 2, but Tannehill’s receiving corps isn’t what it was the last time these foes butted heads. AJ Brown and Julio Jones are gone, with that pair combining for 150 yards on 10 receptions against the Bills. Tannehill rushed for 266 yards in the Week 1 loss to New York, connecting on 20 of 33 attempts for two touchdowns against a Giants offensive defense bringing plenty of blitzes under new defensive coordinator Wink Martindale. The G-Men blitzed on nearly 49 percent of dropbacks — the third-highest in Week 1 — and the Titans QB averaged 7.3 yards per attempt and completed 60 percent of the throws for 109 yards on those occasions. Tannehill is one of the best QBs in the league when facing extra rushers, but he struggles when opponents are only able to pressure with the front four. Last season, his yards per attempt dropped to 5.6 under pressure versus 7.8 when he was successful — completing just 53.7 percent of his throws — according to PFF. The Bills can take advantage of just that on Monday night. Buffalo picked up seven sacks and seven QB knockdowns in the win over the Rams, posting a 30.6% pressure percentage without the need for an extra rush. Defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier blitzed just once on 49 dropbacks by LA, and the Bills finished No. 10 in pass rush winning percentage on ESPN. Buffalo’s EPA allowed per down was the second lowest on the ground (-0.308) against a much larger air attack. Tennessee’s offensive line was a major concern entering the season, coming off a 2021 campaign in which the pass protection finished 26th in adjusted sack percentage to Football Outsiders. And while that group held up better than expected against the Giants in Week 1, the Bills are a significant step up in the defensive competition, and I’m betting on a day under Tannehill in the passing game. Aside from the Bills’ pressure and versatile linebackers who can shut down passing lanes and shut down YAC, Tennessee head coach Mike Vrabel wasn’t thrilled with the play-calling offensive coordinator Todd Downing was doing in Week 1. Downing snubbed his star man, Henry, on a number of key possessions in the second half and gave the RB just 21 carries, a far cry from his workload last year before he suffered a midseason leg injury and returned for the playoffs. With Tannehill feeling the heat from Buffalo’s defense, expect this playbook to be skewed for execution after surrendering just 43% of the snaps in Week 1 — a marked drop from a playbook that ran 48.78% of the time in 2021 . My best bet: Ryan Tannehill Under 216.5 yards The best Titans vs Bills bonuses If you sign up for a new sportsbook for the 2022 NFL season, here are two of the best bonuses available*: A) New users to FanDuel can place a first no-sweat bet of up to $1,000! register now B) New users at BetMGM can bet $10 and get $200 in free bets if either team scores a touchdown! register now *Eligible US locations only. Diffusion analysis

The look-ahead line set for this AFC monster matchup was at Buffalo -7.5 over the summer. After the Week 1 results, the books once again opened Buffalo up to -9, and that quickly rose to -10.5 at some sportsbooks. Bills opening night against the Rams came on the heels of a summer of love for the Bills Mafia, who drew plenty of action throughout their trades. The Titans acquisition has since narrowed the spread to as low as Buffalo -9.5 with most outlets trading at -10. Covers Consensus shows 61% of picks on the home team, while sportsbooks like WynnBet say 60% of tickets are counted on the bills, but the big bets have grabbed the Titans as underdogs and that has more than 79% of the handle on Tennessee. Over/Under analysis

That Over/Under total was at 51 points in the offseason and reopened at 50 points last Sunday night. Early action has entered the Under and has that number up to 48 points on multiple operators, with Buffalo handling the Rams’ offense with ease in Week 1 and the Titans’ once-powerful offense being stymied by the Giants’ defense last week. Sunday. Covers Consensus shows 61% of Over picks, while WynnBet’s books list 55% of Over bets, but an incredible 97% of first money jumps to Under, forcing the books to cut that total.
